Seeking a Family Story

Dear Librarians –We are seeking Family Stories and no doubt there are a great many member stories in our group especially during these eras:  The Great Migration era (1620-1640); Native American life; Steam Engine Industrial Era (1870-1950); Wagon Trail Migration (1750-1870); Ports of Entry (18th-19th C.); Descendants  of the Colonies of New France or Viceroyalty of New Spain (16th-17th C.)  Do consider adding your ancestor's story to our Connection Project.

This Connection Project will be featured during our Spring Seminar on Memorial Weekend and the project seeks to document a family member’s connection to the above eras via written story, photos, artifacts or published books.  If you have a story to share, let me know.  Marcia

Pictured below are my 2 great grandparents and their lives have consumed my attention lately as it appears that Marie Louise Chartier Fittinger's uncle or great uncle was a Canadian voyageur.  Possibly a Hudson Bay Company connection? There is certainly more to learn in uncovering the depths of this family story.
